Bryan Rotary Club is organizing the 4th annual Bryan Rotary Field of Valor, a patriotic display of 1,000 American Flags at Veterans Park during Veterans Week, November 8 – 15, 20015. For $50, you can “tag a flag” in honor of or in memory of your soldier, veteran, or first responder. The money raised by FOV goes right back into the community. Your business can also help sponsor and underwrite the major expenses of Field of Valor to offset costs like replacement flags & poles or lighting & security. Sponsorships range from $500-$5,000. Ronald McDonald House Charities have just announced a family room build in St. Joseph’s Hospital! These comforting spaces have living rooms with children play areas, dining/kitchens, sleep rooms, laundry facilities, internet access, and televisions, and serve as a home away from home for families with children in the neonatal or pediatric intensive care units. They are specifically designed to ease the burden on our families and allow them to rest and regroup while still being close to their children. With this exciting plan in the works RMHC is now accepting Wish List donations to help Brazos Valley families. Gift cards, new children’s books, travel size toiletries, children’s toys, and laundry supplies are all currently being collected. To discuss donation or sponsorship possibilities, contact Katy Scott, Director of Community Engagement, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 979.218.0031.
