For the seventh consecutive year, News/Talk 1620 WTAW has received the Texas AP Broadcasters (TAPB) Radio Excellence Award. It’s an honor that includes all radio markets regardless of population.
That was one of two additional awards WTAW received at the annual awards banquet of the TAPB and Headliners Foundation of Texas. WTAW’s Patrick Zeinert, who anchors newscasts on The Infomaniacs, received the TAPB’s Best Newscast award among Texas radio stations outside of the state’s major markets (Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin).
Two of our TAPB awards also received recognition from the Headliners Foundation of Texas, for Best Radio Reporter and Best Radio Online/Special Content.
