Drive-Thru Difference

Drive-Thru-Difference-PEACE-LOGO

Peace 107 recently took part in a Drive Thru Difference. It is so much fun when Peace 107 does this and it brightens YOUR day to do a random act of kindness for someone else. Try it anytime! Go to your favorite fast food drive-thru and pay for the car behind you. It’s that simple. We made s few letters to give to the cashier to give to the car behind you that tells them why you just paid for their order. You could change someone’s whole day by just this simple act.

B/CS is a tight-knit community that always comes together to help others in need. Recently the Dixie Chicken hosted an event to help raise funds for College Station police officer. Maverick 100.9 was excited to join forces with the Chicken for such a good cause.

42 3Detective Gatlin Kling was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. Kling, a Bryan native, graduated from Texas A&M in 2005 with a degree in agricultural communications and journalism. He joined the College Station Police Department in 2010, and began as a patrol officer on the streets, including Northgate. He was promoted to detective earlier this year.

“It hit really close to home and we wanted to do something positive for our first responders,” said Maverick Program Director, Adam Drake. “The event was a success and there were people at the Chicken the entire day and throughout the evening.”

The proceeds from the silent auction, food, drinks, and the 42 tournament went to help the Kling family with medical bill expenses.
